"Acupuncture Naps" Are a Thing. A Very Very Good Thing.


I like to joke with some of my patients that they are only in it for the naps. While not strictly true - acupuncture has a myriad of other benefits - amazing naps are pretty high up on the list. Acupuncture has a unique ability to tap into the body's parasympathetic nervous system allowing you to relax very deeply and fall into a truly restorative nap in no time.


I myself am not a napper. I'm not a great sleeper, period. However, when I give myself an acupuncture treatment or get treated by a colleague - I can't help but falling sound asleep immediately. I'll have the most wonderful nap, full of dreams and tingly body sensations, and wake up feeling completely refreshed.
