Hello once again dear patients! How I have missed seeing your faces each week. I hope you and your families are doing well and that you have stayed healthy and sane throughout the quarantine.
I wanted to reach out to you to let you know that after much planning and consideration Christina Wallace Acupuncture will be reopening starting June 22nd in Tarrytown and July 5th in Union Square, Manhattan. Although I've always taken cleaning and disinfecting procedures seriously, this pandemic has required even more precautionary actions, so I have made some changes to how I will be operating going forward through guidance from the CDC, the NY DOH, and state and national Acupuncture associations. It is my hope that with these precautions, we will be able to minimize the risk of exposure considerably for you and for me so that you are able to once again receive your acupuncture treatments. Your health, safety, and comfort is so important to me. You will find a link to my practice's Safety Plan at the bottom of this page detailing the new procedures and safeguards that I am putting into effect, but the main changes that you should be aware of are as follows:
Increased cleaning and disinfecting of all high touch surfaces in office before and after treatments using disinfectants on the EPA's list for those that are determined to be effective against COVID-19.
I've added an air purifier to the treatment room that uses HEPA and UV-C light which captures 99.97% of dust, allergens, and germs and circulates the air in the room over 4 times per hour.
I'm asking that cloth or surgical masks are worn by both myself and patients at all times in the office, unless there is a valid reason why you cannot, then we will discuss this in advance.
I will be screening myself daily for symptoms, temperature, and blood oxygen saturation before working. While treating patients, I will routinely get tested for active COVID-19 infection every 2 weeks. My most recent test as of June 9th shows me to be negative.
I am asking that patients also comply with me administering a temperature check using a contactless thermometer and symptom screening before every treatment.
If you suspect that you might have been exposed to COVID-19 or are experiencing any symptoms, please cancel or reschedule your appointment until after you have been tested. I am waiving any late-cancellation fees. I just want us all to be as safe as possible.
I know this is a lot of information to digest. Please know that I have given this a lot of thought, with your safety in mind. Especially since testing is more readily available in NY and we have a more thorough contact tracing program in place now, I am confident in opening my doors to my patients and being able to safely offer them treatments again!
